As our chief of all things commerce, Brecht is always on the lookout for the next opportunity. He's all about building long-term partnerships with both new and existing clients and will help us grow in a sustainable way.
Brecht is someone who's always been passionate about sales. He decided to study business management with a focus on marketing and sales, and then sharpened his skills even further with training in key account management.
His first real-world test? Business development in the rather unexpected field of enamelling. It wasn’t exactly high-tech, but it was a fantastic place to learn the fundamentals of building something from the ground up and figuring things out as you go. Talk about learning by doing!
Next up: the dynamic world of industrial automation. For five years, Brecht became an expert in account management, focusing on key industries that keep Flanders running – think food & beverage, life sciences, and all sorts of discrete manufacturing. He got to know the ins and outs of software and hardware solutions, understanding what makes these industries tick.
However, as time went on, Brecht started looking for something with more… spark. As it turns out, our scale-up vibe and ambitious mindset were exactly what he was looking for. He moved from the more traditional world of license vendors to our vendor-agnostic setup, ready to shake things up and make a real difference.
Now, Brecht is helping us take things to the next level as our Business Development Manager. He sees himself as a spokesperson, translating the amazing technical skills and in-depth knowledge of our experts into real value for our clients. Basically, he's here to make sure Coretecs keeps growing, keeps innovating, and keeps making a mark on the IT-OT integration landscape.
And in his free time? Well, even when Brecht isn't strategizing and connecting, he's still all about teamwork and staying active. He’s been playing mini football with the same group of friends for ages! He also keeps fit with squash during the colder months and enjoys playing padel when the sun’s out. And if you want to talk about passions outside of work, just mention cycling. He’s a proper fan, always up for watching a race. You may even catch him on the side of the road in the Tour de France soon!
