Leonard was inspired by his father, who is a civil engineer, to try the same course. But he quickly realied that industrial engineering suited him better. Leonard was curious about how things like fridges functioned, rather than just learning abstract theories. Adding some more AI-related knowledge to this, and Leonard was a happy man.
He spent some time searching for a job that matched his interests after finishing his studies. He had three main criteria: consultancy, working in a start-up environment, and AI. When Arno, an old friend from university, told him about Coretecs, Leonard decided to join them as well.
Leonard has a wide range of interests. He’s very enthusiastic about Mendix and eager to learn more about programming languages and coding. He likes his days to be diverse and to have the opportunity to experiment with new things and take control of his career. AI remains his biggest passion, however.
Leonard's hobbies are chess and gliding when he's not working at Coretecs. He started gliding when he was 16 years old, so he's very skilled at it now!
