Wouter was curious about electricity in high school and specialised as an industrial maintenance technician. He developed his skills through working in the field, but he wanted more, so he chose to pursue a master's degree in electrical engineering.
Wouter's career has involved various kinds of duties, from being a tech lead to having leadership roles that include client communication and project management. He finds a lot of joy in coaching and supporting people.
Looking for a new path, Wouter joined a global company that gave him the chance to travel and broaden his perspectives. It was then that Jurgen and Adrien, former colleagues from imec, offered him the chance to create an E&I department at Coretecs. Wouter suggested forming a team with Joren and Simon, who had worked with him in his previous job.
As a project manager, Wouter has various roles, such as sales, recruitment, and operational tasks. He enjoys keeping up with the technical details of a project while also having a big-picture perspective of the wider operational situation.
When he is not working, Wouter enjoys spending time away from technology, socialising with friends, and exploring new places by hiking. He also loves to ski and snowboard.
