Wout followed his family's footsteps into the world of engineering and/or IT, as he had a mother, a father and a sibling in that field. He got his degree in electromechanical engineering in Leuven and was always fascinated by anything technical. His master's thesis sparked his interest in software, but mechanics remained his biggest passion.
Wout had been coding and learning about hardware and connectivity in the petrochemical sector for four years, when he decided to seek a new job. He was soon contacted by Jurgen and offered a chance to work at Coretecs, which he quickly accepted. He was impressed by the team's expertise in automation and integration.
Wout has some previous skills in project management and team leadership. As a project lead, he makes sure that the different parties cooperate well and meet the deadlines. His best quality? He has a good grasp of all the systems involved and is competent in various domains, from mechanics to software and back.
Wout likes to do some sport and play activities to relax after work. He may go to the gym to fitness, or play padel outside, or game a bit inside. He enjoys anything that involves some sport and play.
